A Sunny Day for the Interface
- Posted on Aug 11th 2006 5:59PM by Mike Spinella

Jeremy's preparing for the release of his long-awaited sophomore solo album, callled 'World Waits,' which is scheduled for release in October.
He played us five songs, including a crazy-good version of SDRE's 'How it Feels to Be Something On.'
Here's the full setlist:
1. 'River to Sea' (a new song)
2. 'Lewis Hollow'
3. 'Explain'
4. 'World Waits' (title track to his new album)
5. 'How It Feels to Be Something On' (Sunny Day Real Estate)

We had Mew in the studio the other day, and if you haven't heard them yet, they have more than nibbled at SDRE's sound. But when we asked Mew about Sunny Day they had never heard of them. Huh? The youth these days.
Although Enigk inspired a generation of whiny Sunny Day knock-offs, we don't find it surprising that he told us he "doesn't relate to any emo bands."
The full downloadable Interface performance will be available September 22, NOW so don't miss it. Until then, don't miss Jeremy on tour.
Check out some photos from his sold out Bowery Ballroom show, later that night.
