Dando's Got 'No Backbone' and We've Got the MP3 to Prove It

Mr. Dando is back with the Lemonheads and sounding as 'It's a Shame About Ray' as ever. That's a very good thing in our book. Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents, ALL), we salute your production prowess (guitar solos and all). Download and listen to 'No Backbone' after the jump to see what we mean.

The Lemonheads - 'No Backbone' (MP3)

    Listen to 'No Backbone'

The album drops on September 26 and our Lemonheads Interface will available on September 9. Check out a teaser (and classic) 'My Drug Buddy' here.

Editor's Note: Yes, it is a cover of a Smudge song.

Absolutely love "NO BACKBONE" - the Lemonheads and the old Evan I know and love are back!!!!! YIPEEE.
I have been a fan for over 16 years now and although I loved Evan's solo "Baby I'm Bored" with this song I can really feel it!!!

J Mascis is god. And a clean, coherent Evan is a good thing too. Put them together, and this is a hell of a song.

Bill and Karl RULE! This is probably the best sounding stuff Dando's done. Nice n' poppy. Like The Descendents/ALL (though I miss Stephen's guitar).

Thank God Evan is back to provide us with something
to re-awaken our senses after being bombarded with nothing but commercialized bullshit these days!

There is no better than Evan, except, well, Tom and the weird thing about No Backbone is that Tom's band Smudge recorded it about 10 years ago, so the excitement of hearing a new Lemonheads tune was diminished a bit cos its an old Smudge song

    J. Mascis is an undeniable rock guitar wizard of unearthly proportions and Dando is, well Dando .... a poppy match made in alternative heaven! (God I love Dinosaur Jr)

This is amazing. It's like the good ole' days all over again. Baby I'm Bored was good but a bit somber. If this whole new album is as good as "No Backbone" is a song, than it will be in constant rotation in my cd player. I wish Evan all the best and hope that his music is heard by millions more this time around. Hopefully the teens that like all these dopey emo ,will wake up and love the Lemonheads. They rock.

Hey this is a cool track. I miss the ole Lemonheads. Very cool stuff. Would love to hear more tracks from the album to see if it'd be worth buying. Classic Lemonheads only better!
