Still Awesome: The Doughboys
- Posted on Aug 24th 2006 8:45PM by Mike Spinella
Gone and somewhat forgotten, but still awesome. If you aren't familiar with the Doughboys, they're Canada's answer to the Descendents, Hüsker Dü, Samiam and Big Drill Car. Falling victim to the '90s major label rush for all things grungy, the bedreaded Canucks' brilliant melodic punk fell through the cracks. Listen to the Doughboys 'Crush' album after the jump. It's the first in our ongoing series of albums that will always be awesome, no matter how many times you've listened.

Loved this album. These guys were great, and All Systems Go who came after them were great too. Now it's all over. This sort of music is just plain gone. The world has moved on. So sad.
