Texas Is the Reason to Reunite

I think the trick to gaining legendary status in the punk/indie world (besides naming your band after a Misfits lyric) is to put out a great album and bail. An example of this would be Operation Ivy.
In Texas Is the Reason's case, you put out a 7" that makes proto-emo and hardcore kids drool for more, then deliver a record that makes critics and A&R reps freak out. Then you proceed to get signed and fall off the face of the Earth without ever putting out the major-label record. Needless to say, NYC's (post) post-hardcore quartet have decided to reunite for one show on the ten-year anniversary of 'Do You Know Who You Are?'
Full show presale details and MP3 after the jump.
Brooklyn Vegan has all of the NYC show and presale info. Download a free MP3 of 'E. Texas Avenue' here
If you missed out on TITR's short, yet influential, run, then buy their records here and here. You won't be sorry.
