Arctic Monkeys have revealed to NME that they've nearly completed writing the follow-up to their Mercury Prize-winning 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not,' and are set to head into the studio to record. The target date for release is currently January '07, but as you know, kids these days can't commit to anything. According to drummer Matt Heder, "It will probably be a bit later, but you never know. I think from our point of view we could have it ready for then."



As good as they are, writing a sophomore album in two seconds can be a dangerous thing! Beware of the Curse of the Merc, Monkeys!
