... I've been looking for live footage of the BAD BRAINS for I don't know how long. I've found a clip or two, here and there but never what could considered a live concert recording. I had an "epiphany" when I saw them at CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE in the early 80's. I had heard a lot about the band prior to me seeing them... a life changing experience. The BRAINS have influenced so many bands in various genres, it's not even funny. It is a shame that they never really got the exposure which they so richly deserved!!!

Wow, I ran into a friend of mine on the subway, who like me, was at both these shows at CB's and told me about this DVD release. Besides seeing the Bad Brains at their best, it was really wierd seeing all of us as really young (I was 21 at the time, my late brother who was interviewed at the end - another shocker for me - was 19). This was our authentic scene before the schism/bad wierdness/political conformity/clothing uniform code was created. I bought it as soon as I could and I play it REALLY LOUD in my workshop. I got the juice runnin though me again.

All I have to say is that this IS the best harcore band of all time. Nothing comes close! saw them in "86 on the I Against I tour and it changed my life!

1980- CBGB - artsy, pathetic late 20s/30s crowd.
1982- CBGB - barely in high school,energetic kids.
2006 - no CBGB - but bring back the kids !!!!!

i saw bad brains last show at cbgb's. it shows what a difference 25 years makes cause HR didn't move at all. this looks like it was a great show. i saw them in 99 and 89 also which were much better shows than the last one at cb's. i'm an old man too i guess.
