The Borat Movie Is a Niiiiice. We Like!

So far CMJ week has been madness. Madness, I tell you. Great shows already from CSS, Spank Rock, Lupe Fiasco, the Knife and the Horrors. But the real highlight so far had nothing to do with music (unless, that is, you count a nod or two to the No. 1 pop star Korkey Buchek who sings 'Bong Bing'). Said highlight is the 'Borat' movie.

A few of us were lucky enough to score entry into the vagine screening. It was brilliant and wrong on so many levels. If Borat's perception of the U.S. and A. was the real U.S.A., the world would be a much brighter place. Keep reading for more on the screening, and check out the camera phone shot I was able to snag of the man himself at Lincoln Center (paparazzi style).

The movie is basically a series of sketches documenting Borat's (and his bag of live chickens') travels across the country. That's all you're getting out of me. You need to see it for yourself, 'cause if you don't, Borat will be execute.

Hopefully you've already seen the trailer, but here it is again. Stream the full soundtrack and learn the stereophonic listenings of Kazakhstan. Get movie listings here.
