Tristeza - 'Wearing the Blues' (MP3)
You might ask, what is it that makes Tristeza post-hardcore? In the mid-nineties, there was a D.I.Y. hardcore movement in Southern California, which is often referred to as the Ebullition scene. This scene spawned many influential bands, including Swing Kids, Crimson Curse, the Locust, Econochrist, Spit Boy, Struggle and more.
Members of Tristeza played in many of these bands, gleaning the hard-edge and passion for making solid music that some may deem inaccessible simply because it has no vocals, therefore no hooks. Needless to say, given the right mood, Tristeza will provide the perfect vibe.
