Cortney Tidwell makes infectious but slightly deranged music, similar to Björk or Feist with a Mazzy Star flavor. Tidwell hails from Nashville and came from a line of successful musicians. Her grandfather performed at the Grand Ole Opry and recorded for Decca. Growing up, Cortney had her share of pain with a manic depressive mother who passed away at age 49. Her music undoubtedly reflects her past. Her debut LP, entitled 'Don't Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up,' is on the horizon, so expect to see and hear more from this talented songstress.
