The Stooges Reunite! New MP3 + New Album in '07

Iggy Pop, the undeniable godfather of punk rock, has officially reunited the Stooges. Three of the four original members will play on the band's forthcoming album, 'The Weirdness.' The original members are Iggy (of course), guitarist Ron Asheton and drummer Scott Asheton, plus honorary Stooge Mike Watt (of Minutemen and fIREHOSE fame).
Iggy didn't stop there. He got Shellac/Big Black frontman and renowned producer Steve Albini to man the boards on the album. Can there be more names dropped into this production? Actually, yes -- it's being mastered at
Abbey Road studios.

Every dog has his day, and I hope the Stooges as well as the MC5 will be inducted next year to the Hall. I also hope this new Stooges album scores well.

I cant believe Iggy got back with the Stooges,being raised in Detroit,of course I've seen Iggy well he used to live to townships over from where I lived,yeah baybe Iggy wii get inducted.Im still waiting for Sky Saxon from the Seeds to get inducted he's only the grandaddy of Garage,I guess all the real greats get fucked over Hey thats rock in it's finiest form.
