THE JANUARY BLOW BY BLOW BLOG! (i have to do it in two parts -= PRE SUNDANCE JANUARY and POST SUnDANCE JANUARY

I usually do these things on at night or during planes but i have to just get threw this or we'll be skipping through February and a lot of good shit has happened this month. bringing back to the very beginning January 2nd, our first tuesday party of the year at Cinespace... all the usual suspects were there... like lil club cory and marky mark and cc le rev

THursday rolled around and i made it to Hyde. the residency i do there with Chad Muska is getting harder and harder for me to do since i'm always being booked out of town on thursdays so for the most part, Chad's been holding it down. That night was the most fun i've had djing at Hyde - we could play louder than we usually play and i had a lot of new music to dish out... and i love djing with muska. He's the shit. Saturday Jan 6th, I djed for buddy Moj Mahdara's birthday party at the Roosevelt Hotel. Cobrasnake came with but we planted a dummy at the office so no one would try to party down at our spot.

January 7th, the first sunday for our Banana Split party we brought in DJ Huggs from Canada who used Them Jeans computer since he's a CDJ man... AM and I rocked it out til the end. It was an insane night as usual...

back on track the following tuesday, Jan 9th i had two events to run through.... WESC's fashion show where i got my first sample of the headphones they are doing with me. Got some corn and veggie burgers there, watched models walking on tables with new WESC gear and then later head over to Cinespace.

Tonight was crraaackin!! We had Sloan who released their 9th studio album that day from Canada, Grand Marquee, and another Canadian djing with me and them jeans in the front room - Dj huggs and even more... Brother Reade did 20 minutes in the front room as well. And even more..... DJ Klutch from New Jersey/Crooklyn Clan Vault and I did a set together...Too much good shit.

My sister called me the week before and wanted to plan out a snowboard trip together... and whaddayaknow, i had a gig in the mountains the next week... Wednesday Jan 10th, (I have to date these things so i'm not missing anything) Devon, her buddy Alex, Russ and I drove up to Big Bear in my Prius to go snowboarding and later thursday night i had to dj the WESC Big Bear Party up there.... THis is my second time djing in the mountains. It always seems weird but ends up being amazing. The first time, Burton Snowboards flew me up to Vermont to dj the US Open during SXSW. So i flew up there from Austin djed to a bunch of frosty people that were wasted and awesome and flew down the next day to Austin to support all my bands playing there last year... This time it was a lot easier than that and my prius held up pretty fucking good.

Friday i flew up to San Francisco to dj at Cougar Friends at The Milk Bar djing with Vin SOl and Richie Panic.
no photos but someone made a video and sent it to me.

i left san francisco the next night and flew back east to Atlantic City, New Jersey to dj at Borgata. I tried playing poker for a few hours before my set and fucking got SLAYED!!! people in atlantic city you dont want to fuck aroud with them, they will slow burn you all the way to the cashier and back. it was bad and even the 1,2 blinds game got heated. crazy. i djed at Mixx in the Borgata to a pretty packed out night with their resident dj Mike Basura. flew back to LA once again to dj our banana split sundaes. this time Adam 12 from She wants Revenge came and did his thing and he brought a gang of people cuz it was his big birthday bash. Team Canada came and ripped one through as well and AM did an earlier set. Now we are at Jan 14th... (this is more for me)
