Sex, drugs, and . . . country? Forget the Pete Doherty's and Snoop Dogg's of the world -- the real music rebels come right out of Nashville, Tennessee! In their March issue, Blender magazine exposes country's 'Hee-Haw Babylon.' From Keith Urban posing in Playgirl . . . to Merle Haggard's decade-long boozefest . . . to a '40s western hero murdering his wife, the article details Music City's biggest druggies, sex freaks and criminals.

In collaboration with the Blender article, Spinner counts down these inductees into country's 'Hall of Shame.' See the 'Hee-Haw Babylon' photo gallery now!

Hi,

I love listening music. And i did many country music and respect the artist that make this great country. However.. I do not think there is anyone, like me, who can do like this direction..ha? if they are in their fifty's. sixty's. seventy's and so forth! And if you are young, we can get new thoughts and we can make a wonderful music..

Just think that if that wouldn't be the case drug addiction treatment would have no purpose in this beautiful world that everyone loves so much.

Well, one thing has always been consistent with Merle. He seems to care about those in need, and I'm sure he's offered his services or his money to help those afflicted by the Virginia Tech massacre.

Here are a couple of brand new songs to help you process the news about the Virginia Tech massacre and as a way of showing my support for loved ones who lost family members and friends in that horrible shooting:

I hope all is well with you and yours. Let’s keep these people in our thoughts and prayers as they recover from a profound loss.

Well, Dr BLT, Merle simply became disgusted with the war in Iraq and decided to tell it like it is. I've not heard about his Hillary tribute (even though I'm not crazy about her run for president). People can change their views over time. BTW, Merle was not always a reactionary, check out his wikipedia profile.

When I wrote this tribute to Merle Haggard and to the song, The Fightin' Side of Me, I really believed:

Merle Hasn't Lost His Fightin' Side
Dr. BLT
words and music by Dr. BLT (c)2007

So did the producer of this song, 20-year member of Merle Haggard's band, The Strangers, co-writer, and Merle's right hand man, Mark Yeary.

Lately I've had second thoughts, not about his deft skill as an artist, but about his loyalty to the principles he once held so dear. That's why I'm working on a new song, Merle, What Happened to Your Fightin' Side, and a song to counter Merle's tribute to Hillary, entitled The Other Side of Hillary. Watch and listen for those songs. I may just end up stirring something up.

I love country music and respect the artist that make this great country! However! I don't think there is anyone, even people who are not famous, who can claim they have not done things they regret especially, if they are in their fifty's..... sixty's ...... seventy's and so forth! And if you are young...... give yourself some time..... you'll do things that you will regret...... let's just hope it's not too many things...... for you will not be able to live with yourself! And having this "Hall-of-shame" article is a good start in doing something that is not constructive and positive in life!

They forgot the douchebag from Montgomery Gentry who shot a captive, tame bear and called it "hunting."
