Happy 3sday From 3x3 for 3/3: Blonde Redhead, Mando Diao, Neil Young

January has New Year's and Martin Luther King Day. February's all about the presidents. For March, we at 3x3 HQ are letting you in on the ground floor of our own new holiday: From here on, the third day of March, a.k.a. 3/3, will be known as 3sday!

This is the one day of the year when the stars line up just right, so naturally the 3 stars we've lined up for 3sday are pretty darn special: NYC art rockers Blonde Redhead, Swedish garage kings Mando Diao -- and our traditional (traditions have to start somewhere) 3sday gift to you -- a newly unearthed flashback performance of Neil Young from 1971.

Same as on non-holidays, there's 3 songs, a 3-question interview with each artist or band, 3 things you need to know about that performer and what 3 other blogs are saying. We promise next year we'll have the 3sday e-cards up and running. Till then, behold the splendiferous 3sday rock! Click here to have a look.

I am THRILLED Mando Diao is featured on 3x3. They are an amazing band and many more people here in the States need to know about them. Wonderful choice! Keep on rocking!

I'm so glad I started to listen to Mando Diao just recently because they are a fantastic band! Can't Steal My Love which I'm hooked on is an excellent song.

The Neil Young 3x3 videos definitely convinced me to add Massey Hall to my DVD Collection. Ohio...on acoustic...in that classic Neil Young "Godfather of Grunge" style :)
