I don't think that's the issue. It makes pefect sense, but it's just a stupid line. A very, very, outrageously stupid line. People write poetry like this in Junior High. That's the point.

Hey, they (and Prince) summed up the laid-back feeling of Sunday in some pleasant, simple words. Why work hard to describe a day of fun? This song doesn't sleep in...it rocks out.
