The Hold Steady Step Up to the Plate

The Holdy Steady have no qualms with touting their unabashed love for the Minnesota Twins. Turns out, the rockers are getting a little love back from their hometown jocks. The MLB team offered to play the Steady's take on 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' during seventh-inning stretch on opening night should the band choose to take a swing at the cover. The result? Homerun.
As for whether or not the now Brooklyn-based quintet will ever come around to the Big Apple's heroes, don't hold your breath. "The hardest part of baseball in general is Yankee's fans," guitarist Tab Kubler tells Spinner.
