Guitarist Inhales Dead Father

Since pop stars are constantly doing the darnedest things, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly the year's freakiest music realm event -- particularly when there's a chance that, sometime in the next four weeks, Britney Spears might be photographed wearing a pair of granny panties. 2007, however, did give us one gift that kept on giving a bit more than all the rest -- namely Keith Richards' did-he-or-didn't-he insistence that he bonded with his deceased dad by snorting some of the cremated fellow's ashes.

While Keef went back and forth about whether or not he actually did the deed -- for those keeping score at home, the guitarist said he was only joking, then retracted his denial and went back to insisting he did Hoover up dear old dad with a side order of cocaine. Sounds like an odd combo to us, but at least it's marginally less creepy than hearing Richards insist he'd imbibed a beaker of pop's blood spiked with a shot or two of vodka.
