...because he would have said, "You're beautiful, you're beautiful, you're beautiful, just kidding." Does he really need the "it's true?" Was he gonna say, "it's false?" He already said she's beautiful three times. If she isn't completely creeped out by now anyways, I think she gets it, Mr. Blunt.

One of the Top Ten Worst Songs EVER. The only good thing about this song is that it was able to morph into a more appropriately titled one - "You're Pitiful" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
