Lisa is probably some racist bigot anyway. That comment is dumber than any of the lyrics in the top 20.

Bob Marley is a legend you can't just say you hate all his songs I'm pretty sure that you haven't listened to all of them. I know people have their own preferences in music;but a whole genre? I don't care how old you are I'm 15 and I think his songs are still good. Plus I'm DEFINATELY sure that you haven't listened to the ENTIRE reggae genre to say that it sucks. So check yourself before you say something stupid like that again.
Thank you
lol i didnt mean for it to look like a letter just got carried away on an angry rant no offense to the intended.
The point of this song, which I haven't seen mentioned in the comments yet, is that the sheriff is the one who shot the deputy. So basically, yeah, he shot the sheriff, but it was in self defense (he swears.)
July 09 2009 at 5:44 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyProtip: The sheriff was an abusive racist white man who put Jamaicans down. Generally a crook. In Western convention, in lands that were colonized or occupied by foreign empires/nations, the sheriff was usually a white man, while the deputy was among the local population and served only as a figurehead. Lyric makes perfect sense.
January 16 2009 at 8:25 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyGood God...it is just common sense not to hate on Bob. In fact, being negative about Bob Marley is pretty ironic. But such things will piss off a lot of...er...people belonging to a certain interest group. And there's a lot of us. Lisa...you're the worst kind of person.
