Actually these lyrics are great. It's a play on words. You expect the final line to each verse to rhyme and end in "blue" (which connotes sadness) but you get instead the sunny, hopeful "yellow" in the end.

This is a great song, coldpalys lyrics are more depth then perception. Not like Avril Lavigne's Boyfriend. It's got feeling, emotion TALENT!!
