James Brown: Pool Ball Racker
He was "the hardest-working man" even pre-show business! Brown grew up in Augusta, Ga., during the Great Depression, taking on several odd jobs to earn money, including shining shoes, washing cars, picking cotton and racking pool balls in local bars.

James Brown is a legend whether we like him or not, and back in his day jobs were alot harder to come by and you worked for alot less. So RIP Mr. Brown

May 09 2007 at 3:52 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replywhat was up with that "james brown is dead...and on tour" situation?!! didn't they parade his body all over the country for like 2 months after he died?
May 09 2007 at 3:50 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI love his music, however, I did not like the way he lived his personal life. Beating on women, his drug use, he once dismissed a band member for using drugs, then he used it, I think this was a double standard. As far as his grownkids are concern I don't care much for them, waiting to bury this man, until money matters were settled, then totally disowning his younger son, I am not convern about the child's mother just the child, I wonder how any of them can sleep at nights. I don't thinks this is what he would have wanted for his child, they are just a set of very selfish grown people.
