David Lee Roth: Hospital Orderly
Long before Van Halen, the not-yet-Diamond Dave fluffed pillows and emptied bedpans in a hospital. It's a career field he almost went back to post-stardom -- in 2004, Roth started training to become a paramedic.

I was just talking to my friend about who we are today being the result of the path we took to get here. I totally looked @ Dave in a new light. Then changed my mind back again when hearing his father was a doctor, then changed it again when hearing he was training to return to the field again. It really says WHO you are and WHERE your heart is, and that's all that matters. You go, Dave!

I do it everyday and wouldn't trade this job for the world. I understand it is not a glamorous job but it is much more rewarding and meaningful than being a rock star will ever be. This totally changes my opinion of Dave. You truely "rock"! If more celebs spent more time actually helping people instead of asking the rest of America for "donations". Things might actually begin to get better. God Bless those that truely give themselves to help others. Those are the true Rock Stars.

May 06 2007 at 8:36 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDavid Lee Roth was a natural for jobs in the medical arena because his father was a very well known doctor in the CA, San Gabriel Valley, who specialized in Geriatric Medicine, his patients loved him.
