Bowie is a true living musical icon, which I'm afraid is overlooked and under appreciated right now. I definitely don't agree with all of his artwork, but I have the utmost respect that he is still trying to create something new (a bypass hasn't slowed this man down from doing what he loves!). see him on youtube with arcade fire doing "wake up" and "five years." What's sad about "major tom" is that it's not about just one astronaut to me, it's about all of us, every person is capable of feeling that amazing isolation inside of them and becoming disconnected from the current world.
