The Fratellis Claim Responsibility for Police Reunion, Sorta

For those excited about the Police reunion, just thank Scottish rockers the Fratellis, who've been tapped to support the recently reformed vets this summer. "The whole thing hinged on whether we would support them or not," singer Jon Fratelli jokes to Spinner. "They weren't going to do it if we weren't going to come along. We couldn't deprive listeners the opportunity see the Police again."

Kidding aside, the buzz rockers are certainly being modest given how the trio landed the supporting gig. "Sting gave me a [call] and said, 'There's only one band we'd really like to support us,'" bassist Barry says.

Meanwhile, the Fratellis are up for testing their newfound super power. "We can get anybody back together," Jon says. When we offer up the Jesus & Mary Chain after checking out their Coachella performance, he's quick to respond. "No problem. We've got the accent thing down as well."
