Fray Frontman Inherits Fortune From Aristocrat

As much as it pains us to grit our teeth and hand a compliment to a member of the Fray, we have to hand it to the emo-lounge combo's frontman Isaac Slade for keeping a close eye on fate's stopwatch -- not to mention his own bank account -- and ringing up a British gazillionaire who's trying to find an heir willing to take over his ultra-luxe rural estate.
In a scenario worthy of 'The Simpsons,' Sir Benjamin Slade put out an all-points bulletin looking for a blood relative with a fondness for tea, crumpets and the sort of in-breeding that's synonymous with a certain level of Brit society -- only to find that a DNA test proved the best candidate to be a guy from Denver who bears a striking sonic similarity to Billy Joel.
Stiff upper lip firmly in place, Sir Ben proclaimed himself to be "over the moon" about discovering this new branch on the family tree -- one that's not "too bloody rich" to willingly care for the 1500-acre Maunsel House property.
While we wish Isaac well, we can't help but hope that Noddy Holder would step in and challenge him and his band to a battle of the bands -- winner take all, including the estate's 13 resident peacocks.
