Actor Andy Samberg may be best known as a 'Saturday Night Live' funnyman but he's got an ear for good indie tunes. While filming the upcoming movie 'Hot Rod,' due later this summer, Samberg looked to two bands in particular: Beirut and Be Your Own Pet. "They're just fun," he told Spinner at the MTV Movie Awards. "Beirut is more relaxing and Be Your Own Pet [is] fired up. [They] get me pumped up."As an indie fan, Samberg had a wealth of options to choose from as far as his favorite musical guest from this past season goes. "I was really happy that the Shins came by," he says. "That was awesome. Bjork was another great one. [But] Arcade Fire was really, really awesome. They played extra songs which was the coolest thing ever. We all went onto the floor and they came down, played without mikes and we had a big circle jamboree. It was really cool."
Meanwhile, Samberg's quick to respond for next season's request. "Feist is pretty kick-ass," he says. "That'd be an interesting one."
