--'I Zimbra,' Talking Heads (1979)
Having trouble plugging this one into one of those English-to-[fill-in-the-blank] Web translators? That might have something to do with the fact that the song is written in a language invented by dada poet Hugo Ball, who wrote it six decades before David Byrne and Co. turned it into a neo-African tribal chant. Back in 1916, Ball wrote, "I don't want words that other people have invented. All the words are other people's inventions. I want my own stuff" -- which, as far as we can tell, makes him the godfather of punk.

Talking Heads live up to their name.
Those lyrics are wacky.
What makes the Talking Heads so cool is that they are so OFF THE WALL.

When will you put away your egos and reunite for one last great record or at least the farewell tour you owe the fans. If the Go=Go's and The Police can do it so can you.. you don't have to invite Eno.. unless you ALL want to of course.
