Those syllables, inspired by military marching cadence, may just be babble, but the opening verse of this pioneering rap track ended up naming an entire style of music. Thought of as lightweights by their rapper peers, New York's Sugarhill Gang nonetheless had the first hip-hop Top 40 hit. The rap community should be grateful another two-word combo from the record wasn't used to signify the genre, or we'd be calling it "breakfast toast."

Or the Witch Doctor song...Ooh E ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang? My kids love that, but gash the su-su sudio- so annoying.

You missed The Beach Boys immortal "Bob bop bop bop bop bop bop ooo ma ma ma mow bop pa ooo mow mow". How could you miss this one? An entire generations was singing it.
Also Manfred Mann did tons of this stuff!!! Here is a sample of Beach Boys... you figure it out.
