'Tomorrow Will Be Like Today,' Money Mark
From 1998's 'Push the Button'
The Beastie Boys knew what they were doing in the early '90s when they tapped Money Mark to help them reinvent their sound. In 1998, Mark cashed in on his talents for himself, quietly unveiling his 'Push the Button' LP. This slightly overlooked album's opus is the '70s-tinged 'Tomorrow Will Be Like Today.' The tune is a barrage of lo-fi pop melodies with sugary hooks, bouncey piano and a brilliantly distant moog under a vintage sounding guitar. This record is timeless as my worn LP will attest.
