Tiger Army Recruit Veteran Punk for New 'Music'

Tiger Army vocalist/guitarist Nick 13 isn't quick to dismiss the band's underground status. In fact, he's just fine with it. But with the most requested and spun track on influential L.A. station KROQ as of late -- the single 'Forever Fades Away' from their new album, 'Music From Regions Beyond' -- that could all be changing for the psychobilly rockers. "We've been touring almost constantly since 2001," Nick 13 tells Spinner, "so I think it's just a case of grassroots -- word of mouth. After doing that for six years in a row, we're just starting to see the benefits."
Of course it doesn't hurt that Tiger Army recruited veteran punk producer Jerry Finn (Green Day, AFI, Rancid) to produce 'Music.' "He definitely helped us make the best sounding record that we've ever made," Nick says. And while it was a tedious process, Nick and his Army are certainly already reaping the benefits. "It's definitely been a long time getting this album out," he says. "I'm not a prolific writer. This is the end of a two-plus years, so I'm really excited."
