Video Premiere: The Polyphonic Spree, 'Running Away'

The Polyphonic Spree are back. 'Running Away' is the first official video-less video from the forthcoming album 'The Fragile Army.' The video was directed by first-timers Hal Samples and Julie Doyle features over 70,000 still photographs from a ten day tour. Polyphonic founder Julie Doyle told Spinner, "It was really a process of trial and error. We loved the concept from the start, and in the end we think we have an interesting video that we're proud of. "

The Stones are no where near as exciting as the Spree is on stage and on record...and I like the Stones! This "video" really catched the aura of a live Polyphonic Spree show...which everyone should catch if at all possible...it is worth it beyond words!! Buy The Fragile Army and support bands who try to make a difference.

This video is fantastic. I can't imagine how much time must have gone into doing it.

I'd have to agree with the poster above. The Spree put on the best live show of any band including the Stones. That is saying an awful lot because the Stones jam. The majority of people who have seen both in concert would agree. Check your bad feelings at the door and enjoy hope and love for a change.

That forum is cool thanks Peter.

I think this video truly honors the music. The cadence soars and the whole feel is iconographic. It is like flying!

While I'm not a fan of either band, The Polyphonic Spree have a tendency to rip off other bands. Especially with this latest album. First The Danielson Familie's uniforms, then the intro of this video reminded me of one that I saw by The Chariot.

They are simply amazing and make me smile no matter how horrible the day has been. They remind me that there is so much beauty in this life and we just need to focus on that instead of the pain and misery. Life should be about love and joy and I'm just glad we have the Spree!
