I dont know any Tegan and Sara songs except " walking with a ghost " which is constantly getting stuck in my head and one of my favorite songs..And GOD BLESS YOU SUSIE, for loving your son no matter what..we need more people like you in the world!

Even though I started to follow her just a few months ago, she has inspired me to not be afraid of being a lesbian, I'm not proud, but I'm not embarrassed either. My parents don't know yet, everytime something about gays and lesbians comes up, I always get very deffensive. My mother even asked me if Tegan and Sara were lesbians, I told her they were, I guess my sexual orientation is a little obvious then, but I don't really care if people judge me because of that.

too bad there are not more mothers out there like you. It might have totally changed my life and its course if someone like you would have been my mother..
when my son was a littje biy iI always suspected he was gay but my son is the type that should not be approached because he'd withdraw. So I waited until he was ready to come out to me. It happened years later when he was in h.s. my godson was watching T.V. and call the back street boys "faggots" my son blew up and said that was offensive because he was gay. He looked at me and as he was walking out the door crying he said "I know I've disappointed you and you're probably ashamed of me." I said, "Don't you leave this house, you are my son and as your mother my love for you is unconditional and I love you regardless." My son is gay and he saves lives for a living, he makes me proud every second of everyday, I am his greatest fan!!!!!!!

I do not know if many people have told you how awsome you are, but I think so. I am straight and I have two young children that are straight as far as I know, but I would react the same way you did if either of them ever 'came out'. You Susie are a real inspiration.
