Lily Allen Debates Hippies With Bonnaroo Mates

Lily Allen is getting schooled something fierce on Bonnaroo hippiedom. During a press conference on Day Two, the British chanteuse said that the festival's crowd was nothing compared to her hippies of yore. Or, at least, those she knew to attend U.K. fests like Glastonbury. The panel disagreed and comedian David Cross maintained his anti stance, saying, "It's no secret that I hate hippies."

Gov't Mule's Warren Haynes defended his crowd -- and music -- by responding to Cross that it's not all noodling, "but there is a lot of that." Richard Thompson, sitting next to Haynes, just laughed. Meanwhile, after a tardy entrance, ?uestlove of the Roots was asked to chime in. "How do I feel about hippies?" he asked rhetorically. "They pay my bills."
