Dion Writes a Tune for Paris Hilton

We don't think of Paris Hilton in the same breath as Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy very often but -- thanks to rock icon Dion DiMucci -- we may have to start doing just that. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who cut his teeth on such street-corner classics as 'The Wanderer' and 'Runaround Sue' before moving on to the land of social consciousness in 'Abraham, Martin and John,' has turned his attention to the patron saint of plasticity via a new tune, which he's posted on YouTube. Ever the gentleman, Dion doesn't make any sex tape jokes -- nor does he seek out clever rhymes for D-U-I. In fact, the Bronx bomber does his best to help Paris keep her chin up, offering such soothing proclamations as "You got a friend till the very end/I'll stand by you/I'll pray for you/I'm looking out for you." We're sure Nicole Richie will be doing this one at karaoke any day now.

Here I was thinking Celine Dion had lost her mind... What a relief it was to find out that the person who supported Paris(ite) Hiltion was someone I had never heard of, and therefor couldn't care less about.

DION, kicks ass! Whatta great song! After his AWESOME 2006 where he was nominated for 2 Grammies and recorded the best blues album I've heard in 20 years, he comes out with this tune for Paris Hilton...MAN "D" you still got it buddy! RELEASE IT! It's freakin' great!
