With his latest album, 'Memory Almost Full,' well-ensconced in the Top Five, Paul McCartney is scheduled to play an in-store appearance in Los Angeles today -- and no, it won't be at one of the City of Angels' 69,488 Starbucks franchises. As part of a promotional campaign, Sir Paul has been performing at small venues throughout this past month, which included sets in London and New York. Now his next stop will take place at the L.A. branch of the Bay Area-based Amoeba Music stores. The free concert is slated to begin at 7:30 PM PT, with hordes of potentially lucky Macca fans queuing for hours to receive the coveted bracelet that lends them the privilege of seeing a star of McCartney's magnitude in an intimate setting. And speaking of one of the most recognizable faces on the planet, it would be safe to assume that every single person working in the media today would be able to distinguish the four Beatles from one another, especially considering only two of the Fab Four walk the earth today. That didn't deter Larry King, who hosted McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison, on his program yesterday, from referring to the legendary Beatles drummer as "George" -- not once, but bloody twice! No word as to whether the superannuated presenter also called the group's recently commemorated 40-year-old album 'Dr. Pepper.'
