Mando Diao Frontman Bored With 'Sexiest Man' Title

Engergetic Swedish garage rock quintet Mando Diao claims their name came to guitarist Bjorn Dixgard in a dream, but frontman Gustaf Noren is living a different dream entirely. "I woke up one morning and I was the sexiest man in Sweden," Noren told Spinner.

The smokin' Swede was ranked No. 1 by Aftonbladet magazine, beating out fellow Swedes Eagle-Eye Cherry and New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist. "I don't know who came up with that thing," he said. "You should really have a pop idol guy, 'Big Brother,' or some sleazy soap opera guy." Still, Noren admits, "I'm pretty sexy in my league," but he's not completely comfortable with the accolade. "It's a shame for the award. It was a good award, [but] now its just boring."
