Whimsical singer-songwriter Josh Rouse chalks his 'Hollywood Bassplayer' video up to complete happenstance. "A fan reached out wanting to show a video he'd made," Rouse told Spinner, "Interpretations of my music that come from unexpected sources can be far more compelling than any formal video treatments." Director Enrique Perez merged his studies of classical animation and pop culture, using stills of Rouse and Madonna to bring 'Hollywood Bassplayer' to life.
