KT Tunstall Begs, 'Save the Future'

KT Tunstall was an apt choice for the inaugural act of the New York leg of Live Earth (which is actually being held in East Rutherford, N.J.). Clad in a white shirt with black "Frankie Say"-size lettering imploring us to "Save the Future," complemented by gold-lame slacks, the Scottish songbird began her allotted time onstage wisely, singing and strumming her 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' on an acoustic guitar, accompanied by another energy-conserving instrument -- a kazoo."We've had our technological revolution, we've had our industrial revolution," she exclaimed to the early birds assembled for her set. "Now let us have our emotional-awareness revolution!" -- giving the last phrase of her manifesto a growly delivery that complemented her Scots burr.

KT Tunstall was AMAZING, I wish they'd let her go later in the show, when more people were there and pumped up about the concert. Her singing was phenomenal, and I really enjoyed her set, save for perhaps the golden spandex.

Did not watch any of it. Not that I wanted to, but they made it so hard to listen to. All I have is an FM radio with a cassette deck in my pick up. Come to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where it's like nobody recycles.

Why does everyone keep saying NY? Meadowlands is in NJ!! The perfomers, those 2 idiot VJ's Karen Duffy and that other guy. They keep saying LIve Earth NY. Again NJ doesnt get the credit it deserves. Whats the big F*cking deal if you say NJ? Are they worried that someone in South Africa or Tokyo wont know what New Jersey is? This would've been a good opportunity to stress the fact that its the "Garden State" and its hosting an environmental awareness concert.
