When They Rocked: 1985-88
Record store owner by day, pink-haired pop diva by night, Jem and her Holograms meant more to '80s pre-teen girls than most of their flesh-and-blood MTV counterparts. With her glamorous style and truly outrageous pop tunes, only 2-D riot grrrls the Misfits came close to stealing Jem's thunder.
