Los Angeles, 1976: The great thing about that [David Bowie] tour, was that it had some of the most phenomenal concert lighting I've ever seen, even to this day. It was all white light, clean and pure, and if there were some higher metaphorical meaning to the lighting design, I couldn't have cared less. This show was fun to shoot. Really fun. "Gimme my bag of film and let 'er rip" kind of fun. The photo also perfectly illustrates the way I like my performance photos to look: very clean, as few distractions in the background as possible, with plenty of drama.

Actually, David Bowie was always smartly dressed and extremely debonair durring those years. Personally, I adore the guy. Right down to his flamboyant style. I'm sorry you seem to think he's a 'freak'. There are far worse people out there in the world that deserve that title. Musical taste is an extremely personal thing.

Yes David Bowie is a freak -- that freakiness adds to his coolness.
We are all freaks in our own way.
What about Modern Love: "Walks beside me -- gets me to the church on time."
Even a biased religious perspective could appreciate the fact that David attended church and should like this song.
David is obviously very handsome -- which also adds to his coolness.

LOVE , This Photo, especially because I saw Bowie on this tour, It was my 1st concert experience & I'll never forget it~ The Man, The Music, The performance, was incredible. Bowie was/is & will always be my fave performer. you get your money's worth, when you see the man! He puts on an incredible show each & every tour! Rebel, Rebel...Hot tramp, I love you so~...Joyce :)
