Indianapolis, 1975: Usually you know when you've captured an iconic image; I had no idea on this one. I was sitting at the same table as Jimmy [Page]. He went through this period where he always had a bottle of Jack Daniel's with him, and I happened to look up just as he had lifted the bottle up. I shot one frame ... and I forgot about it. It turned out to be a perfect alignment of the stars. What can I say -- God smiled upon me. He said, "Here it is. I'm giving it to you, right now! Shoot it!

As a photographer, Neal Preston simply does not have the talent of someone like Annie Liebowitz. As far as I am concerned, he was basically "at the right place at the right time." However, I see no real originality in any of his work.

sandie I would love to know how you and Jimmy and you drink with eachother, maybe I could join in.. but yes Jimmy and the rest of rockers of that day were not afraid of a little alcohol.

Page is a God fearing blues playing homey.Jerry Lewis's manager told some friends of mine that Jimmy use to fill Jack bottles with tea to make it look like he is a hard core boozer. All about image.
