Los Angeles, ca. 1973: In my book, Marc Bolan should be considered a musical genius alongside people like Jimi Hendrix. Lived fast and died young, unfortunately. When Cameron Crowe and I walked into his room to do the interview and photos, he was sober. Then Bolan started drinking: Out came the vino, and out came the nipple. I don't think I've ever seen someone get so plowed on wine in about an hour. I love the matter-of-fact look on his face, as if he knew it was the world's most attractive nipple.

This 21st Century Jeepster inspired and pioneered : Glam, theatrical rock, make-up, the 80's concert sound... does it matter? It was 30 years ago yesterday, since Marc left us. Marc is smiling down, and ignoring all of the young things that call him and others of his ilk losers.
MARC BOLAN 1947-1977- Always in our hearts.

Marc Bolan was a genius. David Bowie was a protoge of his. Marc Bolan started glam rock. Without him their wouldn't have been Bowie. This guy created Trexstacy in the UK in 1972-73 where he was the major music icon. Too bad he didn't catch on in the States beyond 'Bang A Gong'. Marc you are missed.
