PhotoSynthesis: Stevie Nicks in Venice Beach

Venice, Calif., 1982: This was shot for PEOPLE magazine on the roof of Stevie's condo in Venice Beach. This was the first real one-on-one shoot that we did together. If I widened [this photo] to full frame, you'd see an assistant's hand with a light meter. The wind was blowing so hard up there, we almost lost her -- literally -- and only didn't because another assistant was given the task of holding onto her boots. The day was absolutely intoxicating, and the next afternoon a bouquet of flowers arrived at my house with a note thanking me for a "magical shoot." She's a friend for life and one of the most creative people I've ever met.

The most beautiful song ever sung by Stevie Nicks: Landslides. I recently heard that song while driving and almost got lost in the song. How hauntingly beautiful! As for Jossy...thank you for not having a comment. To the rest of the bloggers: I find that people who tend to make inflammatory statements are people that are seeking attention. In other words: Don't keep feeding certain bloggers. Just skip over what they have to say. That is what I plan to do from this point on :)

A friend dragged me to the 1977 Fleetwood Mac concert in San Antonio,Tx.(a promotional tour for their "Rumours" album.) Didn't know much about their music. Have to admit that each member proved to be ardent artists. Stevie Nicks was the magical muse. The packed arena was hypnotized by Ms. Nick's captivating voice and her spellbinding moves on stage. It was like a mothership had transported the audience into heavenly rapture.
