Just one day after surprising the city of Chicago with a secret show on the eve of Lollapalooza, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder had yet another surprise in store. "I'm going to bring out an old friend of mine," Ben Harper said during his Day One performance. "You'll know who he is when you see him." Without any further ado, Vedder took the stage and the two festival vets jammed together on a cover Bob Dylan's 'Masters of War.'

This is not a Bob Dylan cover. Though Pearl Jam has covered 'Masters of War' in the past, this is a new song written by Eddie Vedder, entitled 'No More War'. He wrote it for a war veteran friend of his named Thomas Young. Thomas was shot and paralyzed from the chest down while on duty in Iraq. The song will be featured in a documentary named 'Body of War', directed by Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro.
