Tapes 'n Tapes Dish Out Advice at Lollapalooza

In a moment of perfect synchronicity, indie buzz rockers Tapes 'n Tapes peformed during Day Two of Lollapalooza on the MySpace stage -- befitting because initial word of the Minneapolis band spread largely via the Internet, specificially the blogosphere and the aforementioned social networking site. It proved an effective promotional vehicle as the crowd was larger than typical for an afternoon slot on the festival's side stage.

Drawing material largely from the band's debut album, 'The Loon,' TNT reminded the audience to stay hydrated and put on sunscreen, despite the mostly cloud-eclipsed sun. "It's deceptive," the band warned. They also gave a "P.S.A. for other bands here," warning the musicians to not forget the importance of keeping their instruments in tune -- advice that fans can certainly appreciate.
