Umm, "their songs?" To whom do you refer? Beck Hanson is one man, not a them, and his songs are drfinitely a lil out there, but absolutely fantastically creative, which is the essence of music anyway.

This totally deserves to be on the list! I heard the opening line and then proceeded to sing the entire first verse. So catchy and unique, thats why Beck is awesome.

the thing I remember most is that all my white and black friends thought he said "so open the door", when he really said "soy n perdedor" (I'm a loser in spanish). BTW, I was just lucky to take spanish in high school - yeah I'm white.

sometimes lyrics are meant to contribute musically. the flow, sound and rhyme count as much as what is being said. great line, great song. most of this list is lame though.

I was gonna cry if this wasn't on the list of top opening lyrics...okay, well, not really...but I do love this opening line. If this song starts up on my iPod, sometimes I'll just replay the intro a few times. It's just classic.
