I really like this song. and i understand that people think the are "selling out" or becoming mainstream..but seriously.. think about going into the music business. noone wants to be that band that opens for the big band they always play last because they're the best. You'd want your band to be the best. It's a career. It's how they make their money. they can't just keep playing small gigs for all the "un-mainstream" people. They need to move up in the world. They need to keep updating and improving their music. Pretty much, people are saying that selling out is when alot of people like the music. I, just think that means that the band is good and deserves to have all these fans liking the music. If somebody quits liking this band because of one song they felt was "mainstream".. that's shit. Be happy for them. They're making it big. Isn't that the point? to have their music heard around the world? eh, whatever.

Everyone who thinks a band that has worked their asses off for years and suddenly gets recognized and "popular" is a whiny hypocrite. I'll agree that this video doesn't really reflect the mood of the song but who cares. They've put out tons of great songs and videos and live shows and if you're a so-called fan that is going to bitch and whine over one video then I have to say who is the real sell out?

Get a life and enjoy the music.

Yeah, fuck all the haters. I'm jealous cuz these guys look like they're having so much fun. That's what this business is all about, having a good time and making music people listen to. Don't act like they're your own personal band and have to base their actions on what you think is "conforming"...douchebags

Ya'll are dumb complaining about how you arent going to be a fan anymore becuase of one song. Against Me is still an awesome band just because the video isnt the best doesnt mean you have to be all stupid and act like you can do better, give me a break.

This song is great and while the video is so-so, this selling out bullshit needs to stop. Anyone stupid enough to buy into that stuff needs to listen to Lagwagons "know it all." As for me Im fucking happy they are doing so well, and if they have some popular singles then more power to them! Real fans would be happy to see them doing well. And last time I checked the raspy voice was a punk rock foundation, just look at mike ness, or more recently tim armstrong, or henry rollins, or Joey K. from DOA, etc etc etc etc. More power to these guys.

it's not selling out. believe it or not, they're popular now. they now have a successful career.

and i like this song. he still has the nice Dropkick Murpheys sounding voice, the only difference is the guys singing in the back. but that just makes it catchy and stick in your head. they WANT that. but they sing in the background in most of their songs.

this song will get them noticed, fast. they're still good. the video doesn't make much sense, but i like the moshing in the formal wear.

and the fans that 'really matter' are the fans that buy their albums. they're musicians. it's a job as much as it's a passion.

    What the hell happened.

This was my favorite band for a very long time, they made some great albums. Reinventing Axl Rose is one of my all time favorite albums, and so is the Acoustic EP. Anyone who knows anything about Against Me! knows that this isn't Against Me! any more, it makes me sad, to see such a great band change their style to suit the record company that they sign to. Tom you changed your voice, you sound like someone stuck a knife in your throat. Way to sell out and become exactly what you protested against right from the start. You are gonna lose the fans that really matter because of this, the ones that stick with you and go to every show, but I guess that the disposable fans you have now will bring you all the money you will need to be viable for the next two years, until you become boring and retire from music. I guess thats what you guys want now.
