Only Mo Tucker remained by final studio album, the widely discredited 'Squeeze,' in 1973. John Cale was bumped in 1968; Lou Reed went solo in 1970; Sterling Morrison became a college professor. Longtime member Doug Yule was barred from the band's early-'90s reunion and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
