There is no debate as to who The King was. The fact is that if Elvis was a sun in this particular system of rock and roll the surrounding planets all played their part in this universe.
As to alluding to the respects paid in Memphis as compared to Liverpool, New York, and in every collection of music throughout the world and universe, the sad argument is that there is no argument. While Elvis was getting deputized by Nixon in the White House, John was disrobing in public and sacrificing his pop status for something more important and justified.....his real self. That, my friends, is what we got from Lennon. He was, warts and all, THE REAL DEAL!
You cant disagree with what ALL the Beatles have said about Elvis. Elvis was PERFECT LOOKING, PERFECT VOICE and MOVED PERFECT as well. This my friends makes him KING....
50,000 people past his grave on 1 night every year, how many does Lennon get?
Talented people die young and John Lennon was no exception. Everyone has defects but the point is that he was good!

Yes, Elvis was great, but there never was and never will be, NEVER, be a style, sound, look, and the way they touched so many people in many lifetimes as the Beatles did, and still do. I, as many I'm sure, will never be as affected as when the Beatles existed. They were truly the best thing to ever hit this planet ( that I know of ). Who the hell am I? Just as important as you my friend. Do the same things, Sit on the toilet, just like you (I hope you do anyway). Not sexy?? I'm a guy and John Lennon was my favorite Bealte, But from what I saw and heard from girls, they would have done ANYTHING to be with one of the Beatles. That's not sexy??? Are you insane???? Beatles Forever !!!!!!!!

He had been around 8-10 yrs before the Beatles came here. They admit it. They just had a different sound. Nobody can take away Elvis being the hero and going through what he had to go through. It was tough on Elvis being called Vulgar and being censored. And he was one guy there were 4 Beatles to back each other up. Because of Elvis so many things changed in the world such as Civil Rights Movements. It was all in baby steps but Elvis single handedly did all this. He deserves the title "King" for his bravery, it was a different world before Elvis. oh and talent wise he was GIFTED with that voice and charisma and the whole gorgeous package, sorry Beatles were not sexy!!
