2. Elvis was a great entertainer. Sadly, his lifestyle contributed to his early demise in life. Had he better advisors around him whom he could have respected and listened to, maybe he would have avoided drugs of whatever kind he used. Having watched many of the documentaries about him it is clear to me that he spent too much time with his guy cohorts. Clearly, having these folks around him all the time consumed much of Elvis' energy. People need peace and quiet around them in their lifetime. It seems to have affected his relationship with his wife and family. Maybe if these guys were not always hanging around Elvis would still be alive today - a living legend in his own time. In the end, the fate of Elvis was how he lived.

3. Tania--Tons of people love(d) Elvis. Yes, he was just a mortal man. People refer to him as the king--the king of rock and roll, not the king of the universe. Try to lighten up, just a little. I don't think ANYONE ever thought Elvis took God or Jesus Christ's place, or even attempted to put Elvis in that place. We love him as a beautiful artist who changed music, and the world, forever.

8. Poor Pricilla. She looks like a deer caught in headlights. Could her face be any tighter!? Too much botox or facelifts. If she smiled or made a facial expression it would crack. She used to be so beautiful. Now she looks like someone lying in a coffin that had a great makeup artist. She looks like one of those caricatures you have done at the local carnival. Poor thing.

9. I remember first hereing Elvis's music as a young lad in the fifties. I was at awh at the new sound He created. I would wait all day on sunday's nowing He was to be on Ed sullivan show or Milton Berl's. when He did come on I just couldn't get enough of His music, it was great,new and most of all Rocknroll, Elvis to me was and will always be the King,long live the King of Rock-n-Roll!

11. As a young boy growing up in the 1960's, it was a lot of fun enjoying music, and Saturday at the Movie's. I alway's had fun watching those Elvis movie's even though today they seem corny.

That was a fun Era. Elvis, was a great giver in real life. He was one of the first contributors to the USS Arizona, memorial fund in Hawaii. Privately, Elvis helped a lot of people. His voice was in a sense, Angelic, and he through his singing, helped define an Era. This will never happen again.
Nope, he wasn't God!

No doubt!

But one can truly ponder this, God certainly gifted Elvis, and most of us who lived during that time, as long as we are here, will alway's remember Elvis, But for the grace of God!

12. Sure, I thought Elvis was a good singer, but thats all he is a man who knew how to sing. He is no king my King is the king of heaven and earth he is God, that created Elvis, and everything under the sun and beyond, thats who we should be worshiping not a Rock star. who is dead and gone, and even through his gospel songs, he to wasnt stupid enough to worship a dead man, but rather he worshiped God, Or sang that he did, I think he knew there was something bigger out there then himself, and wouldnt want people to be mislead and call him a king when we all know who the true king is. 13. any one who is a fan knows that elvis was a very humble , and giving man , he did not create the lable of the "king " in fact no one could even use that term around him !!! i just love him ... sad story really , that is a classic case of what fame can do to people

Tania, you may be interested in this excerpt from an interview with Tony Brown at http://www.elvis.com.au/presley/interview_tony_brown.shtml Mr Brown was asked about Elvis' spiritual side: "In fact I want to tell you a funny story. We're in Notre Dame one night and right in the middle of the show, this is when I was playing for Elvis by then. It was when the last year I guess. Right in the middle of the area, a bunch of women had bought seats like center about midways back and had a banner. And they found their moment when Elvis finished a song and they just jumped up with this banner that said, "Elvis, you're the king," stretched all the way across the middle section. And Elvis said, "No, Jesus Christ is the king". And they just went like quietly down and they were on to the next song. But there was a poignant moment I think. Elvis was serious."
