June 1956: Again, this [Earl Leaf photo from the 'Milton Berle Show' sessions] just reminds me of an Alfred Wertheimer shot. The great thing about Elvis was he was very natural. He was so into the moment and into being Elvis the simple country boy, versus the biggest-selling recording artist in the country. He was always true to himself. To capture that -- that's not posing, that just him.

you are right shan elizabeth, he is the most gorgeous man I have ever seen, absolutely stunning, I have never seen anyone that even came close. You are right, they don't make em like that anymore. !!!!!!!!!. He is one of a kind, and probably we will never see his likes again, he truly is the king, and little richard is nothing in comparison, hate to tell you, buddy.

I just looove the picture of him on the surfboard. He was a cutie, but those swimsuits from that era crack me up. Of course, in 30 years I hate to think what people are going to say about the ones we were today.
